Who do we support?
Balance by Design provides personalised employment and career support with a psychosocial focus. We support individuals at all stages of their journey through two distinct service pathways:
NDIS Participant Supports
Participants living with disability (Self-managed or Plan-managed).
Individuals with complex or intersecting needs requiring specialised workplace navigation.
Participants needing support with foundational employment skills and understanding the world of work.
General Public (non-NDIS) Services
Individuals entering the workforce after a long absence or significant life change.
People experiencing burnout, stress, or disengagement from their current role.
Individuals unsure of their direction or seeking more meaningful, values-aligned employment.
People navigating a career change or moving into a new role.
Our philosophy
Balance by Design believes sustainable change comes from alignment between values, capacity, work, and wellbeing, rather than doing more or pushing harder.
Our ethical, compassionate, and realistic approach honours both ambition and limits. We support people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or at a crossroads to build confidence, clarify goals, and take practical steps through tailored, client-centred guidance.
Our philosophy:
Intentional career design empowers you to create meaningful work on your own terms and navigate life with confidence.

Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge that Balance by Design operates on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi‑Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We recognise the Wurundjeri Woi‑Wurrung people’s enduring connection to land, waters, culture, and community, and their ongoing care for Country.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia, recognising the many nations, communities, and cultures living across this country.
We honour that this land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
